jets have negative leverage in a dubois trade. MAYBE they get dvorak purely for cap reasons, but with dubois completely uninterested in a deal with winnipeg and the knowledge that he wants to be in mtl more than anywhere else in the league (possible UFA in 2024). stupid to think that habs management is gonna pay two top nine forwards a top four defenceman AND a first round pick to get him a year early.

Kings are not making that trade for rental. Kings have adequate forwards.

Harris isn't a top 4 defenceman, Evans isn't a top 9 foward and the FLO pick has the same value as a high 2nd...

I'm all against overpaying for a future UFA, but WPG could easily get more for PLD.

Harris isn't even a top 4 in MTL, which doesn't even have a top 2 defenceman on the roster (Matheson and Savard would be a 2nd pairing on any decent team). He's small and have defensive weaknesses. He's a mobile 3rd pairing defenseman. He would be a versatile no 7 on a contending team.
