They get rid of EM and my thought is a ext. for both. They are not going anywhere without a 1C and a goalie.

Schief is too old and laine hates him. Elvis will bounce back with a better defense so it’s not worth the cost to dump him. This trade makes them slightly better next year but way worse off in the long run. Kent Johnson and carlsson are way too valuable to give up

That is tempting, but I think ultimately the Jackets would rather have Johnson & Leo Carlsson than Scheifele/Helley.

As far as their relationship with Elvis goes, it's TOO MUCH and ALWAYS ON MY MIND. IF I CAN DREAM, with SUSPICIOUS MINDS, It's NOW OR NEVER.

Too much risk in trading 3rd OA for those two at this point, both have shown that they want to test the market, that being said jarmo wants to win now, so it’s possible. I just wouldn’t trade 3rd OA because they can’t sign an extension until after the draft.

Still highly doubtful that happens, jarmo has been agreeing the last few days but he’s moved only pick, not young roster players or prospect. Jarmo wants to be competitive now, but he also wants to stay competitive. Highly doubtful he moves Johnson or Cuelamens for a guy who already has bad blood with a core player on the team and a goalie who is about to majorly overpaid.

The CGY / WPG trade isn't bad for both. Lindholm is far more valuable than PLD for WPG, but PLD would be a good fit in CGY. PLD won't go to CGY.

the trade isnt happening one for one. its basically the return from PLD goes to CGY for Lindholm.
