Not a one for one but the only person on the Leafs the hurricanes would be willing to deal roster players for is Auston Matthews

Calls leaf fans delusion and then expects Matthews for pesce? Insanity

Please at least read other replies before you start teeing off... I'm just saying that trading for any of the Leafs except Matthews isn't going to give us enough improvement to make trading top-six players worth the time it takes to negotiate

A smart GM would be after more than just Matthews, but like all your kind, the only trade you find fair with TO is one you win by such a large margin that it would go down as the worst ever trade in any sport ever. And you'd still say it's an overpay. Like this above trade is such a massive win for you and it's somehow not enough.

Drury+Pesce+1st > Nylander considering the cap hit and position that all of them play

Do some research yourself. A point a game super star is worth a lot more than a small depth forward, a 30 point defenceman and a 3rd. This makes TO significantly worse

This is an absurd comment. You’re just making yourself and other leafs fans look like an idiot. Pesce is a very underrated player. One of the best defensive defensemen in the league every year. It doesn’t take a lot but doing some “research” would have you learn that Pesce takes on the toughest matchups for Carolina, not Slavin. Having him on a shutdown pair and extending him for a much more reasonable price than what Nylander will cost would make a massive difference especially in the playoffs. He’s not just a “30 point defensemen”. Also Drury has potential to be a really solid player and has taken a step forward every year of his career.

Pesce is number 9 on The Athletic’s trade board this offseason. Don’t comment bs without doing a little bit of research.

There are reasons why so many people are not willing to pay to get the Athletic’s material. The price is the second biggest reason.

Again, if you don’t trust The Athletic who even is trustworthy at this point. I won’t say I love all of there articles or analysis but when it comes to reporting they are as reliable as it gets. Of course there are always going to be people who are going to rebuke everything unless they agree with it which I assume you are, but I can’t do anything about that.

Your point is dripping with a major Carolina bias and and even stronger anti leaf sentiment

And you have proven to just be a troll. Pretending to be a leaf fan to fight leaf fans. What an absolute waste of time

No, it's not... Pesce by himself is more valuable than Nylander considering the position he plays, and the sweetheart rate he's signed at. Defensemen are more valuable than Forwards and him being signed at $4m makes him a steal considering his value both at 5v5 and on the PK

Like I said, there is no rational conversation here. A 30 point defenceman is in no way ever worth a point a game player. Never.

Larsson for Hall hasn't taught people anything.
