Cannot see a world where Schmid is included in an Ullmark deal, or any deal for that matter. Schmid's looking like the Devils long-term starter.
Swap Schmid out for Vanecek and there's probably a deal there.

Leave O'Connor out and the Avs would take that

I do think there is a deal out there between need and prospects. Frankly, I believe the Devils and Bruins are probably the best combination of trade partners outside of the Devils presence in the East.

I don’t really understand the desire for a goaltender who makes Vanecek’s money though he could be redirected. I like Schmid, but I also like Bussi and Svedebeck a ton as well especially once Dunham gets a hold of the Swede.

Seamus Casey for Ullmark and Forbort seems like a good deal for both sides, but there are lots of combinations of players, prospects that would work.

Not sure the Devils are the right team here. Seravalli has already reported that NJ seems he set on rolling with VV and Schmid in 23-24, and I think they value Schmid’s long term control quite a bit, even if Ullmark is clearly the better player

Seems more likely Swayman would be moved over Ullmark. And NJD can move Vanecek, Blackwood, Daws…just no Schmid.

Yeah I’m now learning that Philly wants huge value for Laughton. Doesn’t make a lot of sense. He’s a 3C who put up 43 points last year and they want a middle first round pick?? You can keep him. Bruins will explore else where.

I’m not sure the Bruins really need him. It’s more his intangibles that he brings than just points. He can play anywhere in the line up and is a very strong leader and well respected league wide. Even tho I don’t like the Bruins, they already have a strong leadership group so you would be more focused on his production than intangibles and if that’s the case there are definitely better options
