I hate losing Iorio but I like the idea of Beauvillier especially at 50%. If the Canucks would do our 2023 second and a 2024 3rd instead, I’d do it in a heartbeat. Pretty torn on this one

Beauvellier is an UFA after the season and just isn’t very good. Rathbone is also nothing to get excited about. Iorio is a good prospect who will be able to grow with the Caps on an ELC while they rebuild.

Absolutely no reason for WSH to do this.

I'd rather just move beau for picks with no retention. I don't think iorio is going to be an NHL player.

I wouldn’t sleep on the idea of adding Beau at 50% retained. Just not high on the idea of moving Iorio. 40th pick, possibly. With that retention I’d do the 40th pick. He looked good with the Canucks.

Iorio has already played NHL games and looked great for his age.

beauvillier is a completely fine 3rd liner / bad 2nd liner who makes a generally fair salary. there is no reason for the caps to go out and get any more of those types of guys and especially not give up their top defensive prospect to do so.

Caps have three vets signed on their right side D for the next 3 seasons. Hard to see an opportunity for Iorio in WSH for the next 3 seasons.
