I don’t mind taking on Cody Cecil’s contract. He fits a need as a Stop Gap defensemen. I like his stay at home ability, and he will be very useful on the penalty kill.

My issue is the price. Paying a 3rd plus two replacement level role players on cheap cap hits isn’t something I like very much. He is viewed as a cap dump and I think the return will be less than desirable.

Counter Offer: 2025 4th + Tyce Thompson

Anaheim isn't interested in that. Lundy has nice potential for a 3rd / 4th liner

No reason for us to give up our perfectly good 3C and some picks for two guys who you are just trying to get off the books

NJ could just keep Brendan Smith and have a better 6/7D, plus not having to move their 3rd.

Not saying I agree with his trade because I think it favors Edmonton but RNH literally just had a 100 point season. He certainly isn’t a 3C.

Maybe if Ceci had a 1 year left or was at a lower cap hit I could see it but we only really need the stop gap this upcoming season.

He is EDMs 3C, he would be a 2C on another team. He also plays with McDavid, I could put up 100 points playing with McDavid ffs. RNH is good, he is not what NSH is looking for though.

He is also too old for what we want.

Trotz has said about getting younger and out of the mushy middle. RNH is good, but not on the Preds radar by any means.

If anybody could score 100 playing with McDavid, Puljujarvi would be a 9mil player. There’s a reason that team has struggled finding competent wingers

Sign me to a league min contract, I'm willing to give it a try. Poolparty gave up, just because he's trash doesn't mean my point is invalid. RNH is good (I stated that) but he's no 100 point player on his own.
