Who knows, as Lysowski said yesterday, Adams is exploring different options to go up and down in the draft. Borgen is perfect for us. And we can also choose a great player at 20.

I like Borgen, but I am not moving back 7 spots for him. Don't really know if he can Handle 23-24 minutes a game, Never averaged over 16:30. Not a bad idea, not the right player IMO

You can like Borgen and want to add him to the pile of third pairing defensemen, and also not move down 7 spots in the first round to acquire him.

He doesn't have to play 23-24 minutes per game. He will be in the second pair and will probably play 18-20 minutes. He will already be in the top 4 in Seattle next season. He is good in defense, skates well and plays physical game.

It's a controversial decision for me, depending on who's available at 13, and I like the depth of this draft. Therefore, I'm not even sure that it's better for me to trade 2nd + UPL for Borgen than just trade swap firsts.

If he's Powers partner he's playing 23min a night.

Why? Joki played 21 minutes, I'm not talking about all Clague and Bryson, they played much less. I think Borgen would be good option.

So do I, just not at that cost.

But the difference of player at 13 compared to 20 is not borgen.

Neither. Send them Bryson and a 3rd round pick. Or just the 3rd round pick.

Well we won't get Borgen for this package, he seems to be very underrated here and Seattle loves him.

That's totally fine by me.
Borgen is a solid physical dman
But he is a bottom pairing guy that could get carried by power. They would probably make a good tandem never the less, but there are better options elsewhere

Then that's fine. You don't pay 1sts and 2nds for third pairing guys.

You’re getting ripped for the Borgen trade,
and for good reason
U don’t move back in the 1st round for a 3rd pair defenseman
Maybe the 2nd, maybe

And haven’t u learned from past mistakes that we shouldn’t play guys higher in the lineup than their talent dictates??
Sabres have made that mistake enough
Pretty sure they’ve learned from those mistakes,
even if you haven’t

In the playoffs, he was 4th D TOI for Seattle and played in the top 4. I've already explained above why I don't mind trading that first and keeping 2nd.
