Laughton and Hayes both could possibly fetch 1sts and you get 1 back for both of them. They want 2 firsts and prospects for Tk and we get 1 good prospect and a mid 2nd, Murray pretty much costs most of that 1st to dump so we get Hart for 1 decent player. Like what is going on lol

Konecny - Broberg was 8th overal pk in 2019
Hayes - even at 4M is a stretch for any sort of significant return - COL give No. 28 overall Olausson and a late first. That is Two 1st rd pks.
Hart Deal - Lilegren was 14th overall plus we get another late 1st and we take on cap. Two firsts is a high price for any goalie so i added the cap to mitigate the costs.

No you say Leafs decline because Carter Hart is a marginal/if at all upgrade in Samsonov that you already have, you are relying on Liljegren to plug into your top 4 with his contract and you aren’t able to replace him at his aav.

Basically comes down to what do you need more. Top 4 RHD for the future or goalie who is the same as the goalie you already have, easy decision imo

Hayes+Laughton is $7mil for the next tree years, and they have their 2C an 3C for locked in.
