Need more quality and less quantity to get Schmaltz. 3 years left on his contract. Right in his prime.

Giving up a 2 to cap dump Goodrow seems like a lot but it’s something the Rangers would probably do for a 3rd. Goodrow is far from washed he’s exactly what a contender needs. He’s just not exactly cheap anymore

The Goodrow trade shows some creativity. Props on that. I could see a scenario where something like that comes true.

I don't see any reason to trade Brodie. He's an extremely good NHL defender on a team that doesn't have a ton of those. A major upgrade would have to come along with that and Soucy isn't it.

I could see Toronto going after Schmalz but I'm not certain he's a slam dunk to be traded. Arizona needs to keep some players and Schmalz (Keller and Crouse are in the same boat) have re-signed there. The team may be hesitant to move everyone who's a good player or what's left?

I can't see them spending big cash on O'Rielly if they get Schmalz. Just limits their ability to resign Matthews and Nylander.

So instead of acquiring Laughton, you go for the chel trade of throwing every bottom of the barrel asset you have to try to get a great player? Good luck.

Expect arizona calls it a deal lol. Hirvonen was the captain of finland at the work juniors and is doing great. Robertson would be value for you guys that can score 20-25 goals and don’t bring up the injury history when you are giving away Schmatz… Villenue is an ok prospect who won best D in his league. plus the 28 OA pick and a third. Arizona accept man

Brodie for soucy made the cap work. Also Brodie is fine but soft. If the leafs can sign a 5M D in FA like a graves who’s more physical they will imo. The goodrow trade makes a tonnnn of sense imo. I’m unsure about O’Rielly i think it doesn’t mean that much and they would still resign him.

The ask is going to start where Chychrun's did probably if he doesn't get dealt at the draft for something similar to what Chychrun fetched.

RoR at 4.5 mil His agent hangs up on you. Brodie also has a no-move clause, do you think he just magically waves it?

Yeah, no, no they don’t. Arizona doesn’t need C quantity in exchange for A quality. Lias andersson captained Sweden, who cares the dude is trash? Robertson straight up can’t stay healthy, 0 value across the league unless you want a 3rd. Schmaltz scored at a ppg the past two years despite injuries, where’s Nick? It’s a quantity offer, and not a good one.
