Eh I disagree. A Samsonov Askarov tandem is quite intriguing and cost effective. And when has a goalie gone for a crazy return in the past 10 years?

Young elite goalies don’t get traded. That’s why there’s no comparable. Saros would be the best goalie to be traded since Ryan Miller and even then he was 33, 34 years old at the time. Saros is in his prime and a top 5 goalie in the league. Just because Askarov is in the system doesn’t mean they ship him out for one year of a star winger and an average starting goalie. That’s awful asset management. Nashville’s window is not open yet. If they’re moving him, they’re getting pieces that line up with a window a couple years down the line.

Tbh the only reason I thought about it is I heard a similar proposal on the radio, so thought maybe it would stick, but I guess not in your opinion.
