TBL offseason depth moves

Created by: JTBF81
Team: 2023-24 Tampa Bay Lightning
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 14, 2023
Published: Jun. 14, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Tampa more than likely keeps Colton while Killorn, unfortunately, leaves in ufa. They add depth on the blueline with Seeler, and clear some small cap space by trading Myers and sending Fleury down(Tampa may try to trade him, but if not and he's claimed, so be it). I wasn't sure on the value of O'Connor, but he seems like the kind of player that I could see Tampa being g interested in acquiring. If not though, his spot in this version would be replaced by one of Varre-Bouket, Goncalves, or Merela, or they can have Acciari join Paul and Jeannot on line 3 and have Maroon-Eyssimont-Syracuse promotion as line 4.

Some of those league minimum deals are likely unrealistic but at you paid Colton proper.

Jannot may get a bit more
Acciari likely gets more $$$

Myers will cost minor asset dump at least.

I really dont see why the Penguins would pass. You get a depth guy and a 3rd round pick for an undrafted player

Much more proven in the NHL than Koepke and a 25 3rd is whatever, two years from now.

I don't see them as that unrealistic. The backup G, whether it's Rittich or someone else, will be in the 900k-1 million range.

Jeannot on a short term deal at 1.75 seems about right, as he was rumored to be close on a 2 aavx5 or 6 year extension with Nashville, and his play hasn't exactly warranted a large raise.

With Colton I went with the higher end of what Tampa probabaly pays on a shorter deal, but I could see him anywhere between 3 and 3.5.

If Acciari or a similar ufa 4C target is the plan,Tampa could have a little wiggle room if Colton comes in a little lower and/or they promote a Syracuse player instead to save another 200k. As far as Myers, I've seen all kinds of proposals on here as to his value(or lack thereof). He may require a small price to move, but seeing as a team can bury him and only have a 250k cap hit, it shouldn't cost more than a 7th in that case(could just end up being a future considerations type deal as well).

What would Pittsburgh want in a hypothetical trade with Tampa then? Tampa could probably do a different prospect, but can't see better than a 3rd+a good, but nit great prospect for him.

i'd rather just resign him.. the only player i'd like from Tampa for pittsburgh would be Ross Colton, whom i think the bolts will struggle to resign unless they can move some cap, I mean this scenario only has 21 players on the roster. With that i'd rather the penguins send a pick for Colton or just submit an offer sheet, either way DOC played almost 50 games last year and i think fits Sullivan's system well. I believe they'll try and bring him back.

Tampa is going to run 21 anyway most likely, at least to start. Tampa declines any pick trade for him, and gl with an OS working. If Tampa moves Colton it's only bc Killorn took a huge discount to stay, and then Tampa would consider Colton+a 3rd/4th next year or B prospect for POJ+one of O'Connor/Nylander/Puustinen. Tampa won't have an issue re-signing him, so if they move him, they'll get what they need, not scraps some team throws at them.
