Description
Leafs has surprisingly lot of cap space for one year. Could a one year splash with a great top-6 forward be a possible avenue for them to explore? Their new GM at least is not a complete stranger to doing such moves.

Dubois contract is number is set at 9 for maximum value as that is his initial ask, but I honestly don't think he'll be getting that much.

You've given up too much for Dubois here, especially if he doesn't come with an extension. Winnipeg needs to trade him and he's going to have input in where he goes. That's going to drive the price down.

Since the deal involves a cap dump I'm not sure how much less I could give here that'd still have WPG interested.

Inherently it's just a swap between two young-ish players that have had their share of troubles in staying healthy.

Of course this isn't an overpay, seeing as Matt Murray is in there.

With multiple teams bidding on PLD from the recent news. It's extremely unlikely an offer including a $6.6 mil uncompensated cap dump is considered.
