Theres no way they have that much love for Blake. Yes I like him, hes good, but I wouldnt compare him with Nikishin and Morrow. Nikishin is really on a level by himself

Indeed, quite weird. He’s their best forward prospect not under contract at the moment, and likely still their best even when you consider ELC guys not on the main roster (Jarvis).

They’d need to be extremely motivated to move Blake… a few expiring contracts they have to pay extra assets on top of + pay contract extensions on wouldnt cut it.

Pono could slot into a top 6 role at his highest, Gunler could be a middle six scoring winger .. all these guys are good prospects

I don’t think any of them would have been a point per game as an 18 year old at North Dakota or at the WJC-U20. Add in rookie of the year and 2nd team all conference in NCAA as a undersized 18 year old.

He may not be anything, but I don’t think the Canes trade a young kid with the growth trajectory like that.

Yeah I'm pretty excited about Blake. Been keeping an eye out for him. Wonder how Rizzo at UD compares. The second best forward on that team got his ELC from Detroit.
