Nice post. Man the cap is tight. I wonder if Moore and Gavrikov should have been signed for so much $$$$. Who would offer more? LWer and LHD are the easiest positions to find.

Sometimes when you got a good fit, it's best to pay up.

They probably move Arvidsson and Vilardi or Iafallo depending on if they go big in net (Hellebuyck without retention, Gibson, Ullmark). They could also just move Arvidsson and go for a 3M or less goaltender.

If Vilardi signs for 4M, they would have just enough to fit in Hart.

Gavrikov was surprisingly a good fit when the Kings acquired him last year. I think opening the purse strings a little more was worth it if that got it to be a 2 year deal. Would rather that as opposed to a potential 5-7 year albatross contract.

Gavrikov deal isn't bad because he's under $6m. It works for both team and player. The Moore contract is the big issue. He is a max $2.5m player. He got the opposite of a hometown discount. Just like Petersen he got paid for 1 good year of play. If they didn't resign Moore already to his deal than they probably can afford PLD and/or Helle without much issue.
