Buffalos pick in the 13th overall. That alone should be able to get Hanifin based on him being a pending ufa. So remove the 2nd from that trade, OR an extention will need to be in place.

I believe Buffalo really wants a RD though. So I doubt they will pay the price for a Hanifin.

I agree with everything you said, but I think there's reports that adams was kicking tires on hanifin and pesce. Adams said he wasn't looking at rentals at the deadline, he was only interested in adding players long term. So I kinda doubt he's gonna pursue anybody that's a rental.

Remove 2nd and Hanifin sign extension
