C'mon, he's PoMo's guy! Maybe I could throw in a 2nd or 3rd to sweeten the pot!

Kings are over the cap from this trade and wouldn't trade away Byfield.

LA has Kopitar come off the books next season where a great number of top-6 centers will enter free agency, LA isn't as desperate to get PLD as the Jets are to move him. The Kings can wait, they will put their focus where it needs to be: signing a #1 goaltender.

You are probably right but... I think with these trades LA takes a deep run at a cup.

Dare to dream my friend! Thanks. You are probably right. Word is the Kings are "leaning in hard" on Dubois. We'll see!

Only way it works is you also send Helle (50% retained), take back Arvidsson and Iaffalo (or Moore). If the Jets did all that, they basically would have no money to sign a starting goaltender. I think Blake is playing with PLD to make him sign a 1 year contract with the Jets so they can take a run at him with more capspace.

we have zero need for another winger who barely plays defense. You’ll be lucky to get a 2nd for him.

Ooh, I would be super happy with a second for him.
So help me out with the feelings on Spencer Knight. I know he went into one of the leagues programs. At $4.5m for the next 3 years I would assume they would be happy to move out that contract, no? hence the inclusion of Nause. The cap hit from Knight to Wheeler would be a wash and Jets are left with the other 2 years of Knights deal ($9million cash) and hope he can bounce back. Florida spending $15 million on goalies seems imprudent! Thanks

They will keep him until they know he’s not worth anything anymore. He still has a lot of potential they aren’t giving up on him so easily. Plus after next season bob could be bought out if knight hits his potential but they have plenty of cap space with only needing a graves types player and resign gudas and a 4th line center.
