With mtl retaining 50% of is salary he could be a low budget wingers to play with Duchene and try to reunite both from when they"re on Ottawa and did good job together. of cause the return wont be high maybe a fourth or a third max if this is at 50% retain. Hoffman dont play 82 game for sure and have attitude problem but still consistent in term of 35 pts per year and 15 goal minimum. Who know maybe playing along Duchene would boost him a bit more and will finish is nhl carrier on a better note.
