Philly fans are precious. "We will not accept anything reasonable, good for our team or anything for that matter!" Just no to everything all the time.

What happens next year if konecny doesn’t want to resign. Gonna be hard to move him with a year left lmao. Willy must have negative trade value at this point

LMAO what? Why would Philly have any interest in a 27 year old when they are starting a rebuild? They are going to be tanking next year and Nylander isn't helping them tank or rebuild. Philly want's picks and prospects for their player, not a guy who's 27 and 1 year away from UFA status. The reason they are looking to possibly trading Konecny in the first place is because he will be like 30+ when they are done with the rebuild and he is on a good contract for 2 more years before UFA status. Nylander would not sign with rebuilding Philly and if he did then he would wasting his prime on a rebuilding team.

It is reasonable in sense of value in a vacuum, but it doesn't make any sense to trade for another roster player they'd need to sell. I also doubt they would consider moving Cates unless the trade was similar to Hagel's return. He was one of the better forwards on the team and is going to part of a team coming up. I'd rather - and it makes more sense - to move TK for futures rather than another roster player they'd need to turnover again to recoup value.

That's not how it works on here. Rentals are worth crazy amounts, unless it's a leaf rental, then they are worthless

Cool, because moving Nylander at the deadline for a massive haul is definitely bad for Philly. Regardless, this is a silly trade. Nylander is better then everything coming back.

It's not that it's bad, it just doesn't make any sense to kick the can down the road and trade a player who probably has more value in the trade market for Philadelphia than Nylander does at the TDL. TK comes with term and a reasonable cap hit. Rentals at the TDL traditionally don't return that much relative to the player's on-ice value. Would rather just make one trade and get the futures then run the risk of moving him at the TDL for either the same return or slightly less.

Ur just arguing with a wall with Leafs fans it’s pointless they don’t care about how the trades impact any other team
