Let me be the first to say the Flyers decline. First, because a '25 1st doesn't do it for the FO. Second, two LD prospects while we are already loaded there, doesn't make sense. Maybe an edit of the pick to be '24 and another prospect, maybe. Would all depend.

The flyers aren’t waiting til 2025 for the 1st that just automatically kills the day. The latest I would do is 2024.

I don't disagree on Edmundson, though I would argue that the better reason is that he's not what the Canucks need right now unless the locker room needs leadership. The Habs have a bunch of good LDs in the 22- to 25-year-old range. If there's an appetite for Beauvilier in Montreal (to replace Drouin?) maybe there's something there.

No one is paying or giving up better players to take on Montreal's crap.

You should do an ACGM. Show everyone how it's done. Then we can close the function, as there will be no point in anyone doing one again afterwards.

I am with you here. It's not a great trade for either side. Philly doesn't need LHDs. In Montreal, Montembeault has shown he deserves a chance to become a legit #1, and Jake Allen is the perfect "big brother" for him. I don't know enough about Carter Hart beyond that his inconsistency has been a problem in Philly. The Habs need to stabilize things in net, not take on another project.

I think that's fair regarding Montembeault.

The critique on Hart isn't really fair however, it's more the team has been extremely inconsistent, not him. save for the 21-22 when he was pretty bad, he has been above average to spectacular in his other 4 years of play.

Thanks. As I said, I don't really know enough about Hart to know WHY he has struggled. I only know that he HAS struggled. Will a change of scenery help? I hope so. But coming to Montreal (also quite inconsistent) and having to battle for time with a fan favourite (Montembeault) mightn't be the best place for Hart.
