If Ross were signing that contract, TBL would just keep him. He probably wants min. of $3.5m.

Change the 4th to a 2024 1st and maybe Calgary picks up the phone.

hate to say this as a canucks fan but Calgary would never consider that unfortunately. swap the 4th for a 1st like someone else mentioned. problem is that if its a 1st and not a 4th then Van wouldnt accept

Curious to see what Hanifin actually gets moved for. The rumour was that Garland had basically a net-even trade value, so the offer here is Woo + 3rd + 4th, which would easily get beaten by another team. The only way it works is if the Flames specifically liked Garland and his contract.

Yeah that's fair, I'd still give him 3/3.5 if that were the case

Yeah that was the dilemma I thought as well. 1st is too rich for VAN to give up but 4th seems low. Curious to know what the Flames value him at

Garlands value went up when the Canucks bought out OEL. The main reason why players like Garland and Boeser had no value was because VAN had no leverage with zero cap space. Now that they have space I could see some more pieces moves for real return, Garland is one the best 5v5 players in the league and Boeser was still a 55 point scorer on a down year

I think that was in the context of before Vancouver bought out OEL and had zero cap space. Garland is a solid winger on a fair contract so not sure why he would still be a net zero value player.

If Colton's signing that cheap TB keeps him. That offer gets beat anyway if they're Forced to trade him.

I agree Garland has more value. But I don't think he moves the needle as the main piece for Hanifin. I hope VAN keeps him and bumps his value even more this year in a top 6 role. They can gauge his value next offseason.
