I like Konecny though. Fits age range and has some term on a good contract.

They are definitely listening on offers but they aren’t desperate to get rid of him is what Hammer means because he still has 2 years left on his contract. By the way this offer, and the Atheltic in general, sucks lol. It’s been reported that DRW would be willing to move 17OA for TK and that’s just the start of the deal. This trade is already less than that in total.

Yea I don’t disagree about the athletic. Flyers would be smart to move him now imo. Maybe Blues do 25 + 29 + Scandella. Kinda similar to the Schenn trade back in 2017.

Theyre listening but not selling. If someone is going to massively overpay then they'll sell. All PHI has said is anyone can be had for the "right price", and that right price for young guys playing at a high level is probably not run of the mill market value, especially given the state of the UFA group this year.

Really its about selling high and koneckny the last 2 yrs has put up great numbers on a great contract on a team missing most of its best offensive players, without koneckny getting a massive increase in playing time or prime minutes. (Last yr, Couturier their 1C and Atkinson their 2RW missed all season, the previous season it was Couturier, Hayes, Farabee and Giroux all missing 20 games or more), so if playing with a good or at least healthy top 6, koneckny should easily get those totals if not more. SO Im not thinking Koneckny is at a career high selling point and given the age of the flyers and the amount of youth theyre playing now, theres no reason to part with a Koneckny, except for an overpayment.

In a league where struggling ROR gets a 1st, a 2nd and a 3rd (Im thinking Acciari got the 4th and the prospect) as a TDL acquisition for just 20 or so games, then a Koneckny, who's a pretty easy resign, should get more

Briere in his press conference yesterday said nothing is off the table. Which means if you offer something PHI really wants or overpay, they'll move anybody. Briere has said publicly he'll listen on anything, thats taking calls, not making them.

A late 1st and 2nd isn;t what Koneckny is worth right now, let alone an overpayment, and with this free agent crop, he's worth more and theres a reason theres 3-4 teams on here each day wanting him. Its just not enough to make PHI move him, which they don;t have to, and this idea that NOW is the time to deal him is based on what? (Hes performed this way the past few years with the flyers missing half their top 6 offensive forwards and the team unable to score, so imagine if he plays with real top 6 guys on a team that can score)
