Description
The Kyle Dubas/Jason Spezza era has begun in Pittsburgh as the Penguins have a new sense of direction. While there's still an aging core to worry about, look for Pens management to make several changes to the roster when it comes to the complimentary pieces. This also means in net as Tristan Jarry is unlikely to return next season.

Rumor has the Penguins are interested in moving their first-round pick, which sits at 14th overall. More specifically, there's been some rumblings about how Dubas would be open to moving their first rounder for a new goaltender.

Sure in this build we could do that just switch out the oilers second round pick to a first round pick

I was about to say the same thing... It would only count towards $300,000.

Shane Seney is not a reliable source. Can you name one time he has provided insider information that proved to be correct?

Is Wilson really not worth anything? Asking for a friend of a friend I know.

He adds toughness and playing on the bottom six he’s not playing top six minutes, so easier on his body. I know he missed games last year.

If you are trying to pick up Wilson to play on the third line I'm sorry but give your head a shake.

A team like the leaf's should be giving up Nylander straight up for Wilson. Guy will put up 50 points playing with AM and Marner while adding "toughness", all of a sudden teams are scared to play the leaf's and bang they win a cup.

Chess not checkers...

I hear this argument sometimes, and my counter argument to that is, why are we trading away good players? Both teams are helping out each other. Pittsburgh is getting a Vesna winning goaltender under contract at a good price and a left-handed defenseman who was top five in plus minus that you guys need under contract and a former heart winning team oriented player that was playing bottom nine minutes who if he was playing top six would’ve put up more numbers. If you don’t see the value in that then I don’t know what to tell you.

Wilson with retention for a 2nd might be the most delusional trade I’ve ever seen

For a player that was hurt last season and because of his style of play, this trade offer is more than gracious, and I expect a thank you after the trade is done😈

If that was the case, then Toronto would’ve already done it. They don’t want to give up Nylander for that Nylander is under contract and a good cap hit for the player he is.

Cause we are also taking back about 15 mil in cap space for a premium price

You want good players under contract this is what you have…it’s a this for that deal. Let’s face it in this scenario Hall is playing top six minutes for you guys and puts up great numbers. Ullmark is your starter and MG is playing top four minutes for you. You do see the value.

Why do you think Kyle lost his job? Nylander will be on the block now that loser is gone.

For the people saying just buy Riley out yes his cap it would only be 300,000 and change this year but next year would be $1,333,334. That might not sound like a lot but when you’re competing for the cup that’s a lot of cap space. I’d rather trade or package an asset for this Space.

I doubt the Nylander is going anywhere. He has a very good cap hit for what he produces. If you’re gonna trade anyone, my money is on Mitch.

Caps trade is delusional. Caps counter with a 2024 3rd for McAvoy and you’ll thank us for it.

I would accept that PIT package for 2 of those 3 guys (1 being Ullmark), all 3 of them make BOS lose quite a few key players and leaves some big holes in the Bruins lineup

Buying out Reilly probably better, that way u keep JD on top line and dont force Lysell (who isnt NHL ready) into lineup

Wilsons worth much more than a 2nd lol

Id probably ditch Forbort somehow and sign someone cheaper, 5mill is an expensive bottom pair

All of ur signings are pretty good tbh and that 4th line could wreck havoc on the league lol
