Those are good moves. The Penguins would return to postseason play with that roster.

I would pass on both of those for the Pens.

Anaheim probably declines anyways

Petry would be a nice addition to the Sabre line up, but he is over paid by about $3,250,000.
But Buffalo would say no.
Taking on $6,500,000 of dead cap would cost more than a second.
The Islanders had to pay 2021 COL - #60, 2022 #45, and 2023 #81 to take on $8,750,000 of Andrew Ladd's cap hit.

Take out the PHI second and NJD third for Buffalo to even consider the deal.
