Rangers can get by without trading him. As such I imagine it'll be a price beyond his level of value as they shouldn't be moving him without just reason. I'm not saying he's great, only that his value to them is higher than his actual value (which can be said of many players by teams where a guy just fits a role)

Rangers are not trading Kakko so the answer is nothing. He is staying in NYC for many more years.

Kakko scored 40 pts without getting any real powerplay time.
He had more even strength goals than mika and the same number as leon draisatl.
To move him would require at least 1 winger of top 6 caliber under control for at least 3-4 years at a cost controlled number.
at least 1 unprotected first and a high end prospect (to match his ceiling)

Thats a trade almost no one in the league can pull off.

That’s an absurd ask haha everyone loves to bring up the even strength numbers he puts up but never bring up the fact he does it against the other teams third best line

This take is almost as bad as a Canes fan saying Scott Morrow is basically Cale Makar

He's the only reliable RW on the roster. You'd have to replace him, and then they'd still need another RW. Think you got a better shot at Laffy than Kakko.
