Would you do Sharangovich and a 3rd for Barabonov

Personally I would not because I'm not convinced on Sharangovich. Sharks would probably prefer a 2nd in his place.

After Zetterlund came over and disappeared with weaker teammates, I would be concerned about Sharangovich doing the same. I don't think the Sharks are in a good place right now to get the best out of players.

All i can say is this may be the absolute worst year in NHL history to have a Norris calibre 11M dman like Karlsson and want to trade him.

SJ brass have to come to the realization that any EK trade will have to have a large portion of the cap coming back to them.

In todays NHL, you have accept that the main piece in any big trade will either be a large amount of cap space OR decent assets. Rarely rarely both.

Teams will give a 1st and a solid prospect for EK, no problem. However SJ will have to retain or take back equal amount of salary proportionate to half of his contract retained though IMHO.

Sure, the return might be disappointing, but this isn't even remotely a good trade for SJ. It'll take a 1st for someone to take on Campbell and no one's paying anything for Ceci.

Fair. 4 years on Campbell's contract may be too much. Replace Campbell with Yamamoto and Foegele. Again the team likely won't be Edmonton.

But the trade will likely include cap dumps coming to the Sharks

Holand does not get EK for a discount and remove two of his biggest mistakes at the same time. ceci and Campbell have negative value. Yes yes I know they are Oiler cap dumps so that makes them in demand
