I feel like if Ullmark is traded, it's for cap reasons, so adding Murrey at no retention makes very little sense in that case. I'm sure other teams could look into something like this tho, like if the Ducks replace Gibson or if Detroit has money to throw at a project goalie that isn't Nedeljkovic. Even the pens might look at a reunification with Dubas in town.

So to recap, Boston downgrades in goaltending and adds $1.25 million in an already tight cap situation, this way their division rival can sign away one of the Bruins top FA priorities
