because in the last 72 hours fans from other teams have decided that Karlsson is worth a bag of pucks and SJ is looking to pay for him to play on other teams because Grier and Plattner are such nice guys and want to see other clubs succeed

at like 3.5 retention I think liligren + 1st is fine value and Murray is + the other pieces are inconsequential but adding pick 36 is a bit crazy to me

agree with removing the 2nd, but still think TOR would pay for Murray dump in this instead of just being thrown in, so likely another pick going to TOR... or maybe not. It has been hard to gauge Karlsson's trade value ever since a deal failed to be made with EDM before the TDL

This completely ignores Hirvonen's trade value. He captained Finland in the world juniors, was PPG in the world juniors and projects as a top 6 wingers. Easily higher potential than anything you are expecting to get in the second round.

Your forgetting this is the guy who got a 3rd round pick to retain $2.5M for 3 years on Burns.

Getting a top 4 D with potential, 1st and future top 6 winger for Karlsson is a great deal.

Hall just went for free so did Johansen with $4M retained. Cap space is valuable

nah you literally just tacked $8m Karlsson for Hirvonen and Liljegren onto the spammed BOS 1st + Murray for SJ's 2023 2nd that is complete BS.
Murray is going to cost more to dump than Mrazek did and you're not getting SJ's 2023 2nd. Liljegren is good but Hirvonen is probably not going to be sniffing top 6, you're overvaluing.
