Additional Details:

It's a huge price to pay for the Caps to move up just 3 spots but for Michkov it's worth it. Both Iorio and Lap would find a hard time getting NHL ice time anyways with the depth at center and RHD so they can go to MTL and find it. Plus they are best friends so I won't feel bad about trading them together.

Additionally, Caps get to jump into the late 2nd round in 2024 and MTL takes the earlies of the Caps three 3rd round picks in 2024.
