The market for wingers sucks right now. Johansen for nothing. Hall for nothing. Toffoli for a 3C and a 3rd. Smith of a 3rd. We should move Joseph to keep DeBrincat until the deadline and keep trying to extend him short-term in the meantime.

So, a 1-year arbitration deal then? Which would take him to UFA? Risk losing him for nothing?

His base salary the final year of the deal was 9 mil so I think that’s what the qualifying offer would have to be at

Sens opted for Club elected arbitration. He's not gonna get 9mil from the arbitrator.
