The Avs are going to do something like this. MacDermid is honestly just a waste of cap space.

Surely they can find a taker if the Avs throw in a 7th, right? The space is WAY more important than the player.

This feels like it's in the ballpark of what they will do, for sure. Pacioretty is a huge risk, though considering his very recent injury history and age. Maybe they go with someone like Sheary instead? Put him with Mac and Mikko and he's probably good for about 20-25 goals. Comtois as a reclamation project is okay.

He makes under a million they can just bury him in the AHL, call him up if they need feistiness and then hope he gets claimed.🤷🏻‍♂️

Grit and being able to play I’m sure is what he meant because I’m pretty sure that a guy you refused to play at all in the last 2 playoff runs isn’t what he was talking about

He is arguably the worst dman in the entire league. Doesn’t mean he isn’t a great guy but if you’re a team are you paying for MacDermid?

Exactly people misconstrued what Sakic said, they want grit but also someone who can play like colton Ross for a start
