Pens give you one or the other, not both players.

Also, going off the Toffoli return idk what Hanifin is even worth lol

Are the penguins trading for Noah Hanifin or Victor Hedman with that package?

I would think Hanifin still carries strong value unless he is being very restrictive on where he'll extend with. But yeah the market for non-elite forwards has been pathetic. If that extends to non-elite dmen then a cheaper trade package will be available for a 2LD.

that was partial joke on my end given what they got for Toffoli. However, i'm not giving POJ and Pickering AND a first for hanifin. He is also apparently being selective per a source close to him that was allowed to talk. Claimed pens are one of the teams he's willing to waive or and extend with.

Definitely a "partial" joke on the Toffoli front and even then I'd give you a 1.5 out of 5 for it. That was the best you could get for an aging winger these days and, obviously, has NO bearing on a trade for a defenseman, so keep your day job.

Many of your peers have been offering a similar package for Hanifin given he's in his prime and a perfect piece to fill a major gap in your blueline. You can't acquire a top pairing defenseman without giving up something and there are other teams in the hunt for Hanifin.

My brother in christ, many of YOUR peers were trading Toffoli a few days ago for 1st's, 2nd's high end prospects and picks. Scroll back a few days in ACGM and look. A bottom six winger + a 3rd is an okay return for Toffoli but he had 34 goals and 73 points last year, they could've done better lol.

I never said I wouldn't give anything up for Hanifin, I'm simply not giving up the penguins #1 Prospect, a 1st round pick and POJ. That is still over payment to me. I'm well aware other teams are in the hunt, but they're also think the same thing as far as to what they're willing to part with. Hanifin is a good defenseman, but as someone joked above he's not Victor Hedman.
