I know. He was one of the 23 before he had to be cut for cap purposes since he's still waiver exempt.

He's likely who will get the 21st spot if JAD doesn't re-sign.

This is rough, even at the minimum this team can’t go on the road with 6D after the season before last. I think Grundstrom can be moved if we can sign a vet 2-way winger to eat bottom-6 minutes to a minimum.

One way vs. two-way has nothing to do with that. The only thing it means is that Ward makes less money if he plays in the AHL vs NHL. It has zero effect on his cap hit.

If the Kings can re-sign JAD, I suspect they might trade Lizotte as well. That would clear up another $1.4M in cap space. That's another minimum salary player on the roster (Moverare?) and an extra $650k to spend on a goaltender.

Honest question, what the heck do we do with the bottom-6. Spence or Clarke is fine, but Bjornfot isn’t ready to be THE GUY defensively for 10-14 minutes a night. Do we sign a defensemen or is it Bjornfot and Moverare show as 3LD.

Paired with Roy, I think Bjornfot will be fine. He was good when they played together his rookie year. He only had his setback when paired with Durzi, who made all his partners look bad.

I think they fully intend to start Bjornfot next season.
