Let me guess, you’re complaining about the meaningless Holl signing…

I'm not sad about Holl. Was hoping for Schenn. Considering what we paid Holl..... Reimer and Lyon though? Yikes.

Not that, just the fact it's more of the same, boring patch work. It's necessary just not aesthetically pleasing. Long term I am still very loving the direction, but just just hard to get excited when Holl and Reimer are the "flex seal" of the summer lol

It fills a void. Would have preferred Clifton, especially since he ended up in Buffalo.

I found out about Lyon from my wife. She had a co-worker who dated Alex lol. She called and was screaming in the phone.

Yes, it’s boring, but what do you want him to do? We only have 4 nhl caliber dmen on the roster (5 if you want to count Lindstrom). Edvinsson probably isn’t ready. Wallinder is nowhere close. All other prospects are just prospects.

Orlov is a great player but too old. This is exactly what Yzerman said he was going to do, and it’s for a fine dman who I’ll be gone in 3 years, likely less.

Run, more like walk with how slow they are.

LOL I am not some bitter gus complaining. He is doing exactly what he has to. Holl can eat minutes (for better or worse) and was a part of a good defensive team. He is a stop gap just like Chiarot. I liked the Gibson pick (would have liked Strbak but thats just my preference). Lindstrom is low risk and is essentially an Oesterle/Pysyk repeat with a younger player, which is fine.

I am simply poking fun because this is where Detroit is at. You have to be able to take the lumps, doesn't change the fact Detroit is rebuilding. I would much more prefer building slow and having sustainability like TB and CAR (hopefully with better results but they're always close).
PuzzledActuary liked this.

Looks like Columbus is no worse than thirteenth in the east this year. Wings friends, this is rough.

That's funny about Alex. Looks like Sprong now too. I was really hoping for ROR, Duchene or Killorn. Still hoping for Acciari and Hathaway too.
