Not a Sharks fan at all but if Grier did this I'd hope he would be fired. SJ would not retain 4m for 4 seasons for a washed up defensemen a decent prospect and late round picks in the 1st 2nd and 3rd. Without retention this wouldn't be enough to get last years highest scoring defensemen let alone with that much retention.

As a Pens fan, that would be awesome. But there're two points here: #1 I can't see Sharks doing this terrible trade for them, unfortunately. #2 Why Flyers??? No way to see that happen. Hawks or Coyotes would make more sense.

The Flyers would not help their arch-rival for a 3rd and a 2nd two years from now. That's silly.
