Canucks aren’t retaining for 3 years for mid picks and a mid “prospect” who will likely never make our top 9. We have too many wingers, and Robertson with his pod of injuries will never push any of them out

What if the picks switched to Ottawa's second rounder in 2024? They are currently looking at dumping that contract for free anyways, and shouldn't have issues with the cap after this season. My other thought was switching Robertson with Frazier Minten and dropping a pick. That doesn't seem to be the direction Canuck's management wants to go in though.

They are not looking to dump the contract for free. If that were the case, they would have moved Garland already. They don’t want to sell low on him so they are keeping him.

Canucks do not have cap issues

Not sure where you are getting that from but they already have a full 23 man roster signed
