I think Dallas might be the leading destination for Pesce, but they signed Bunting to take the spot they would have filled with Marchment. Probably need to look elsewhere for D now

Dallas makes sense for pesce but the return doesn’t make sense for the canes. Don’t need Hak at this point regardless of what they do with pesce and march is a nice piece but with Bunting added I think that ship has sailed. Would be looking at more of a scoring top 6 F at this point.

Does a package of Dellandrea + Faksa (to balance the money) and a 2nd round pick would work? You could always flip Faksa afterwards.

What does Dellandrea and Faksa do for the Canes though? That is 2 4th liners and a 2nd round pick

Like I said, Faksa is included so that the money can work. You flip him after or you take Marchment instead.

Dellandrea is still pretty young and can play Top nine if given the opportunity. IMO, he has untapped offensive capabilities. He also plays on the PK.

I don’t think you could get a prospect like Bourque, Stankoven or Bishel in a trade for Pesce. Not that Pesce is not worth those type of assets. It’s more because they are too much part of the future in Dallas.

If the assets proposed are not enough, it’s OK and I will call Calgary for Tanev.

4th liners aren’t going to do much for carolina nor do we want to pay to move Faksa. Moving Pesce isn’t a requirement so selling really low would be a step backwards. If we truly felt like we wanted to sell him, we would be better off selling him for 50% to maximize returns.

Yeah Pesce and Tanev are my options that could replace Hakanpaa considering the Stars are too stupid to buyout Suter.

I don’t think so. Just not interesting pieces. Even if we flip Faksa that just leaves us with a couple mid picks and a fourth line body.
