That's a fair deal, hence why Detroit shouldn't do it.

Detroit doesn't NEED to acquire Nylander.

Toronto does NEED to ship cap, with Nylander likely being the odd one out.

Since Nylander has 1 season on his contract. This will give Detroit 7 more goals and 11 more points and thats not worth a top D prospect, a 1st rd pick and the cap dump know as Matt Murray.

If Nylander wants too much money, think of it as Ottawa trading Debrincat... and adjust your perceived value of this player accordingly.
