    ANA isn't eating Petry's contract *and* tying up a retention slot for 4 years for a 2nd round pick, come on.

    just figured that they are $6mil under the floor so they need something to get compliant.

    Doing contracts with their own RFA's (Terry, Zegras, Dostal, & Drysdale) easily accomplishes that without taking on 2 bad contracts (Perry & DeSmith) plus retaining 15 million for a 2nd round pick....this is yikes bad for Anaheim.

    Extending Zegras, Terry, or both of them will get them well over the cap floor

    I agree with everything you said except Desmith being a bad contract.
