Every time I see this depth, I just smile and shake my head lol

It's ridiculous and they want Karlsson to because why not... honestly believe the Canes will try to line up 12 6, 6 forwards 12 D men

But, wouldn't the second become more useful come TDL?

I agree that Bailey is an equivalent but that was last week. Teams got ahead of the cap dumps early this year. If Chicago or another team would do something besides a first, go for it. TO doesn't have the draft assets so they'd have to hope other teams would want their prospects over holding the line at a first.

The difference in between pick 28 and pick 35 is a second, making it equal to the Josh Bailey dump and almost equal to the Nikita Zaitsev dump and equal to the Petr Mrazek dump... Or the Leafs dump the NYI 3rd with Murray... It's not a hurtful buyout either

Anaheim fans should brace themselves for either a paltry return at Gibson's full cap hit or the Ducks' needing to retain at least 30-40% if they expect any kind of decent return in a trade. Once the season arrives and Gibson starts sitting out, the pressure shifts to Anaheim forced to sell low.

Canes accept. This is my preference to trading Pesce. Extend pesce, trade Skjei for futures and either flip them or sign Tara in FA.

Idk what the Sabres would be willing to give up for Gibson at this point?
He was once great, but 3 “meh” years in a row

Maybe we gamble he can regain form?
But he’s quite the risk
So i don’t think we’d give up a ton
