CHI isn't the team for Nylander. But I do agree with the sentiment that you aren't going to get the moon for him on a one year deal with a gigantic raise coming. Especially not from a rebuilding team.

hes a 40 goal scorer on one of the best contracts in the league

the leafs are not getting a high 1st in a mediocre draft and some throw away picks

Yeah. Idk. I feel like he is right where he needs to be. If I'm being honest, I think TOR's problem is coaching. I don't think Keefe is the guy that is gonna get them on a deep playoff run, but I'm also not sure who a better option would be right now.

he's on a 1-year deal. and probably wants to head to free agency. the return will be less the dubious.

and the return includes cap space to sign dumba.
