It’s multiple years and not our player — a 3rd is not worth it

How many times in history have there been 3rd party retentions for multi year contracts??

Did you miss the part where Pittsburgh sends two 2nds to Anaheim? You’re getting two 2nd from Pittsburgh and a 3rd from SJ.

He’s better than any centre currently on the roster. Unless Bergy returns they should be in the market for a centre.

Still zero interest.

Think Kevin Hayes & Ryan Johansen.

You retain 50% and take Forbort and Mitch Miller. Boston probably still says no, but at least you have a shot.

The Bruins can’t take on the cap hit this season.

The Bruins are not going to invest long term on a guy heading into his late 30s.
