I’d say the Devils would be much better off spending that $$$ on a 2nd pair upgrade

Hughes will play #2LGD with Marino on the right, they played well together at the end of the season.
Bahl will be bottom LHD along side of Miller/Nemec
Smith will be the utility defender/wing
