Take Murray out of that deal and Hawks might accept. With Murray in the deal, Hawks tell you "just buy him out".

Due to the fact that he's still on his ELC and thus under team control for at least 7 more years, it's not clear to me that Carolina would swap Seth Jarvis for William Nylander, so the idea that the Hurricanes would take one season of T. J. Brodie (when they already have Orlov, Slavin, Burns, Pesce and Skjei) and a first for him is a non-starter. I don't think that Carolina would do this even if they traded away Pesce or Skjei first.

The only players that would make sense to include Jarvis in are packages for Matthews (which leafs wouldn’t do) or maybe a Knies swap which seems pointless for both teams.
