Why exactly is that 1st round pick there?
Lindholm plays center, a priority position. And considering Nylander's contract requests, if you were to do 1for1 Calgary would be losing out here.
Edit: Also, if Lindholm leaves calgary and they dont get a center back, it's officially rebuild time in CGY, so they'd be looking for topend prospects and picks, which TML don't have.

Not sure Calgary does that trade, but some variation of Lindhom for Nylander would help both teams. The question is what do both want in an extension and are both teams willing to do these numbers?

Nylander wants 9-10M per and sounds slike Lindhom wants around 8.5 per.

Also I know it would be odd looking but if the leafs got Lindholm you would have to make him the 2C over Tavares. I know 11M for a 3 C but that really would be the best spot for him with Lindhom in the lineup.

Personally i’d see more value in getting Chris Tanev than a 3C. A guy that can kill penalties. Might even play up with rielly. Also then that first round pick becomes more realistic
