Both are better defensively as well as more skilled. Brodie is a defensive defenceman though. Why people on here think he's some skilled puck mover is beyond me, nothing to support that idea.

im aware of brodies style hes god awful offensively, i personally think hes gonna start to decline and he doesnt fit the style of defenceman treliving is looking to have on his top pair, He wants hard nosed defenceman who arent afraid to throw the body and will block a million shots. Liljegren is tough to give up on because i think his ceiling is fairly high, is prefer to move him for konecny or a player of that caliber but i just wasnt into the comments saying “thats not enough for zadorov” mid as well overpay to please ppl on here

The thing with this site though is that everyone overvalues their own players but they also hate the Leafs as much or more so to make people happy you almost have to give guys away. In these trades we downgrade our d with both trades. Some will argue Dube is worth way more than Liljegren and I don't care about the values here just looking at the players. Zadorov is a decent 3rd pair guy to help kill penalties and hit people but he's not great at 5v5 and definitely doesn't help us get scored on less. Brodie is way better defensively than either of Zad or Peeke, who's really not all that great. I agree we need more meanness on the Blueline but it can't make us worse.

i guess its agree to disagree , i personally believe peeke is a better 5v5 defender then schenn is, who elevated riellys game like no one has ever. Zadorov is also a better overall defender than liljegren is currently, listen in a ideal world i would love to have rielly , klingberg and liljegren absolutely dummying opposing defenders with the puck but i just dont think thats how treliving wants to build the blueline and how i restructured it here is how i think it goes, however my number one personal target would be rasmus andersson but im not sure if he’s available.

Anderson is certainly great. There is no evidence that Peeke is better at 5v5 than almost anyone. He got caved in at 5v5 last season. Zadorov is physical and can certainly clean the front of the net but beyond that, Liljegren does everything better, Zad has a big shot but don't expect even 10 goals out of him ever again in a season. 17 last season was a total fluke. Like Jeannot scoring 20, off a 23% shooting percentage.

I agree Treliving wants a more physical edge but it has to make sense. We may not see anyone added until the deadline though.
