I'm confused, why would they cap dump Jizzlick? Unless they were signing someone long term to replace him or getting an actual center, makes no sense

jets would be more in the market for a RHD than LHD but that seems like a cheap price for grzelcyk.

if that’s all it takes, maybe i’d swap the 4th for logan stanley, then hope the jets can flip one of their excess LHD? maybe i’ll make an ACGM exploring that

BOS is not trading Grz before the season starts

Gryz isnt getting moved. Id say Merkulov has more of an inside track on making the team than Lysell does, and Lauko will 100% play above Greer. Id bet on one of Beecher/McGlaughlin beating out Megna to play 4th line center too. Lohrei may push a LHD out of the way - but he prob ends up being a first call up guy.

Bruins are not cooked and aren't going to trade Gryz at this point unless they're able to upgrade the team. Same dcore and tandem as last year and they were far and away the best defensive team in the NHL. Not going to see a big change in that regard

Both Swayman and Frederick will probably get a 1 year bridge deal for a bit less with the promise of a big bump when the cap goes up making it possible to keep Grzelcyk. If they get rid of Forbort, there’s money for another forward on a one or two year deal (or if Bergeron and Krejci come back) and they’ll be far from cooked. We all thought they were gonna be cooked at the start of last season when Marchand, MacAvoy and Grzelcyk were out recovering and look how THAT turned out!
