wont be similar because of 1. the contract situation, ADB was RFA konecny have 2 years left at 5,5 mil and 2. Flyers are happy to keep TK and TK is happy to stay in philly. Ottawa was dealing from a position of weakness and Flyers are dealing from a position of strength. This deal is not close and philly would probably want like Raymond + first in return in a tk deal or in that ballpark atleast.

That wouldn't land Konecny and also, Detroit is likely done now, as they need cap space to extend Seider, Ras and Raymond next season, plus have some money left to take a shot at a good FA crop next summer.

Yeah Travis Konecny will be way more expensive than this, Would love to have him in Detroit. Along with either Clayton Keller or kyle Connor but it's going to be just to far expensive to get either one of them.

Every UFA class looks strong one year before going to market. Reality is 90% will be signed before ever hitting the market.

No doubt majority will be signed by then, but I'm not just talking about the top tier. Take a look at next years UFAs, then factor in cap situation for those teams, etc... even if the majority of the top tier are traded/signed/extended before July 1st, there will still be a stronger FA market than usual, especially when you consider the flat cap situation this season and the number of players that will hold out to make it to market to cash in when it goes up by more than 4m next year.
