I don’t hate the COL trade but those are pretty optimistic (not unrealistic except maybe Murray) values on trades where teams KNOW TML absolutely has to move salary out. And honestly the only one I think you are off on is the Murray trade, you aren’t getting assets back to move him.

The return can vary for either. Realistically both would probably get a fourth or less back but the point of the trades was to offload their over 2M worth of cap.

COL will take that duo for a 3rd

I feel like Timmins has shown enough in his short stint with Toronto to warrant earning a late third alone. He was very solid for us offensively and defensively and has proven that he can be an NHL regular given the icetime.
