I don't really see the point in adding Connor. We were top 3 in goals scored. Need to get better defensively.

Well, of course Savoie should be on the block for somebody like Connor, but why in the world does Winnipeg does this? Connor is at the very high end of what Savoie might eventually become, and he is on a very team friendly deal.

I am generally against a big move like this, as I think the Sabres are in a good place for the future and can just build off what they have now by making small additions here and there and will become contenders by in-house development.
However, this is a deal that could make some sense. Adding Connor would instantly give us an elite top 6. Especially with the injury to Quinn, this would give us a high end forward that can help us compete now and can stay in our top 6 until he is replaced by the coming wave of forward prospects when his contract expires. With Benson and Kulich in the fold, I would move Savoie for Connor.

Exactly, could also move Connor out in his last year of his contract if we need to ship money out to pay Quinn, Power, Levi and company

Buffalo doesn’t really need any big ticket items, possibly upgrade the guy sharing the net with Levi, possibly 3/4 years til levi gets paid, then add rentals and short term fixes, and develop the kids in the system and attempt to keep the need ones all fitting under the cap.

We have 8 NHL defensemen and Power will be improved, I am willing to bet we will be much better defensively. We also need to keep up the scoring w/ Quinn out...

What needs to be done THIS YEAR? W/ Quinn out and no other moves made, tbh, I see Buff on the outside looking in for a 13th season

Krebs savoie benson going to drive teams nuts, especially with tuch and greenway coming over the boards next. Jealous of this build, wish the jets had anything resembling this

Unfortunately looks unlikely. Buffs GM seems happy with the Goalies and even had UPL over to his house for dinner to tell him they're confident in him going into the season

Awful take by gm, adding Comrie to start and paying him awful, upl would let a beachball by him. Doesn’t have to be even expensive, just a guy that would give a respectable 30/40 games.
