I like the idea of Backlund but that is a huge overpay.

Cool idea. I don't think I'd do that if I were Pittsburgh, though. I get that they're still in win-now mode, but I don't think they should give up a 1st for a rental.

Nothing against backlund and wouldn’t mind having him, but that’s a stiff payment (even at 50% retained) for a guy on the last year of his deal and turning 35 In March.

I think that's an overpayment for Baklund. I don't think we should be targeting another older player for 3C. Lineup needs youth
